Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at RailWorks Corporation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of railway vehicles and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostics and perform repairs on railway vehicles and machinery.
  • Execute fluid replacements and minor welding tasks on equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and generate detailed inspection reports.
  • Address electrical malfunctions and oversee the repair of hydraulic components.
  • Maintain and repair gas and diesel engines.
  • Assist in managing inventory and preparing orders for spare parts.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper upkeep of equipment.
  • Collaborate with project teams and support supervisors in timely repair completion.
  • Monitor daily visual checks by operators and ensure compliance with inspection protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a DEP in electromechanics or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant mechanical experience in the railway sector.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Strong manual dexterity and proficiency in arc welding.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license of the appropriate class.
  • Completion of railway safety training or equivalent certifications.
  • Clean occupational health and safety record.
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.

  • Responsible for the maintenance of service vehicles and tools.
