Lands Coordinator Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lands Coordinator to join our team at Park Paving Ltd., a leading road construction contractor in Edmonton with a strong reputation for excellence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and coordination of regulatory authorization applications for sand and gravel pits, as well as collecting and reporting environmental data and samples.
Key responsibilities include:
Regulatory AuthorizationsAssist with the preparation and coordination of regulatory authorization applications for sand and gravel pits under relevant regulations.
Environmental MonitoringCollect and report environmental data and samples as required by regulatory authorizations at gravel pits in remote areas.
Inventory Management and Drone FlightsResponsible for monthly drone flights and modeling for inventory management.
Identify Aggregate ReservesParticipate in identifying, testing, and acquiring potential aggregate reserves through ground truthing, screening, and application.
Operational SupportProvide operational support related to mining and reclamation of gravel pits.
Environmental Management ProgramConduct inspections, monitoring, and reporting to ensure compliance with environmental best management practices and regulatory requirements for company facilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, agrology, biology, forestry, or a related field.
- Registered or eligible to be registered in a related professional association in Alberta.
- Minimum two years of experience in environmental permitting, monitoring, and compliance.
- Current knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal environmental regulations, policies, and permitting requirements.
- Must hold or be willing to acquire a Drone Pilot Certificate for Advanced Operations.
- Experience in sand and gravel mining industry is an asset.
- GIS software experience is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and in remote field settings with minimal supervision.
