Job Summary

PCL Constructors Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Total Rewards Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's Total Rewards programs, including retirement savings, benefits, expatriate benefits, disability, and employee assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Design and Management: Conduct research, analysis, and program design, communication that includes the management of vendor relations in multiple areas of Total Rewards.
  • Education and Support: Provides education, analysis, and other support related to Total Rewards as needed and produces monthly/quarterly/annual reports for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Administration: Responsible for the administration of Total Rewards documentation (guides, FAQs, forms, etc.), ensuring it is relevant, current, and easily accessible.
  • Operational Requirements: Coordinates day-to-day operational requirements for the benefits programs, liaising between district HR representatives, benefits carriers, and third-party administrators.
  • Disability Management: Supports the disability management process. Acts as a point of contact between employee, manager, HR representative, and carrier, ensuring that the privacy of employee's medical information is upheld.
  • Employee and Family Assistance Program: Responsible for the administration of the Employee and Family Assistance program, including employee communications and education, monitors trends, and tracks vendor reporting and data and employee referrals when necessary.
  • Group Retirement Savings Plans: Responsible for the administration of the group retirement savings plans and acts as a main contact for employees and HR.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborates with other corporate departments and the HR Leadership team to ensure alignment with priorities and initiatives.
  • Customer-Focused Relationships: Develops and maintains strong, customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Additional Support: Provides support to various tasks as needed within the Total Rewards department.
Qualifications
  • Education: Postsecondary diploma or degree in human resources or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressively more complex experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated understanding of principles, practices, procedures related to Total Rewards and applicable legislation.
  • Adaptability: Ability to anticipate, assess and readily adapt to changing priorities, maintain resiliency and effectively work in a changing environment.
  • Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and formats.
