About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpentry Specialist to join our team at Black Mountain Forming & Framing Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.
  • Site Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of other tradespeople on site, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Construction and Installation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test construction work to ensure that it meets the required standards.
  • Team Leadership: Instruct and supervise apprentices and other workers on site.
Work Environment

As a Carpentery Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions. You will be required to work outdoors and in various locations, including construction sites and residential areas.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A Registered Apprenticeship certificate and 1-2 years of experience in the construction industry, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
