Key Responsibilities- Assist in the construction of buildings, bridges, and other structures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Perform carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing, and installing cabinets, doors, and windows.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure a smooth and efficient construction process.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any potential safety hazards or quality control issues.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a related field.
- Work Setting: Construction, various locations, commercial, and residential.
- Security and Safety: Criminal record check and driving record check (abstract).
- Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, team player, flexibility, work term: temporary, work language: English, hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
