POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking an experienced Intermediate/Senior Compression Project Engineer to contribute to our innovative projects. The Compression Project Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert, responsible for the design, development, and execution of Gas Compression and Refrigeration packages. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive innovative design solutions, ensuring the quality and integrity of product design, and adhering to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Package Engineering (50%):
- Oversee the completion of compressor design tasks, including simulations for pipe sizing and equipment blow-down rates.
- Prepare 3D models, general arrangements, structural drawings, and spool drawings in accordance with customer specifications.
- Lead in-house 3D model review meetings, ensuring compliance with design review checklists.
- Review customer specifications and assign technical spec reviews to ensure compliance.
- Maintain project schedules and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored technical solutions.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of product design, including stamping of required drawings.
- Prepare and oversee the creation of equipment datasheets and ensure accuracy of 'As-Built' documentation.
- Review and approve vendor drawings in accordance with project schedules.
- Incorporate lessons learned from previous projects into current engineering practices.
- Stay informed about industry advancements and trends in packaging design and technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng) is required.
- 5+ years of experience in compression and refrigeration packaging/manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of process simulation software and engineering jurisdiction requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
