Job Title: Senior Compression Project Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compression Project Engineer to join our team at Startec Compression & Process. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of gas compression and refrigeration packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop gas compression and refrigeration packages
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative design solutions
  • Conduct thorough analyses to optimize package efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines
  • Manage and assist with technical and manufacturing issues on multiple projects
  • Provide engineering support to the Service department during equipment commissioning and start-up
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and engineering technologists

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional Engineering designation through APEGA
  • 5+ years of experience in compression, refrigeration packaging/manufacturing
  • Experience working at a supervisory capacity with project engineers/technologists and designers
  • Knowledge of process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, VMG)
  • Strong knowledge of requirements from Engineering jurisdictions (ABSA, EGBC, TSASK)
  • Strong knowledge of ASME/ANSI/API Codes, good knowledge of CSA Codes
