Job Title: Project Engineer - Compression and Refrigeration

Startec Compression & Process is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer - Compression and Refrigeration to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of gas compression and refrigeration packages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop gas compression and refrigeration packages, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative design solutions and optimize package efficiency.
  • Manage and assist with all technical and manufacturing issues on multiple projects.
  • Provide engineering support to the Service department during equipment commissioning and start-up.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and engineering technologists on a project basis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering designation through APEGA is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in compression, refrigeration packaging/manufacturing.
  • Experience working at a supervisory capacity with project engineers/technologists and designers.
  • Knowledge of process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, VMG).
  • Strong knowledge of requirements from Engineering jurisdictions (ABSA, EGBC, TSASK).
  • Strong knowledge of ASME/ANSI/API Codes, good knowledge of CSA Codes.
