Job Description

The Project Coordinator is a key member of our team at Chandos, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our construction projects. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Documentation: Coordinate and maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including meeting minutes, change orders, and shop drawings.
  • Reporting and Administration: Set up and maintain project reporting procedures, including cost reports, project status reports, and document drawing control.
  • Log Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of RFIs, vendor/subcontractor communications, purchase orders, and owner communications.
  • Trade Contractor Management: Assist in the management of trade contractor site meetings, RFIs, invoices, and control document process.
  • Project Administration: Manage all project administration activities, including payroll, timekeeping, labor coding, equipment coding, purchase-order coding, and safety reporting.
  • Plan Review: Review construction plans for compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
Qualifications
  • Education: Technical diploma in an appropriate construction-related field (CET), or equivalent construction experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe or Bluebeam Revu.
  • Construction Knowledge: Solid understanding of all construction trades, safety, and construction techniques.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances, and legislation.
