We are currently looking for a Master Data Governance Specialist. This role is perfect for motivated individuals ready to shape the future of the foodservice industry.

Role Summary:

The Master Data Governance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of master data throughout the organization. This position involves defining, categorizing, maintaining, and securing master data to enhance operational efficiency and customer service excellence. Collaboration with various teams, including Marketing, Procurement, IT, and Sales, will be essential to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits of master data and work with stakeholders to establish effective data categorization.
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and standards to maintain data accuracy and security.
  • Create and manage metadata documentation.
  • Design and execute data quality controls to ensure reliable data.
  • Facilitate governance training and awareness programs for staff.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement master data governance practices.
  • Define performance indicators and monitor compliance with established standards.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulations regarding data governance.
  • Partner with IT to manage large data updates and ensure data standardization.
  • Assist in integrating master data management solutions with enterprise systems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide governance guidance.
  • Conduct testing and maintenance for ongoing master data improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in master data management or data governance.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Proficient in data modeling and quality assessment.
  • Experience with data governance tools is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations.
  • Experience with GS1 is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently while aligning with IT strategies.
  • Experience in leading projects and collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in project completion.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Flexibility to accommodate project deadlines.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
