Key Responsibilities:

The Relief Pharmacist will deliver pharmacy services and assistance to customers, healthcare professionals, and other retail pharmacies as scheduled by the Relief Coordinator. This role is accountable for operating within the designated territory, striving for excellence in patient-centered care, customer service, workflow efficiency, and professional clinical services. The position also emphasizes contributing to a positive and productive workplace environment.

Areas of Focus:

  • Emphasis on clinical services, including disease state management, medication reviews, and health risk assessments.
  • Prioritize prescription safety by delegating technical tasks to Pharmacy Assistants when available.
  • Initiate and document care plans and follow-ups.
  • Mentor pharmacy students and Pharmacy Assistants as applicable.
  • Gather pertinent patient, medication, and disease information.
  • Identify actual and potential drug-related issues.
  • Monitor adherence to medication regimens.
  • Provide patient counseling for new therapies, ensuring understanding of medication purpose.
  • Customize counseling to address patient needs, such as literacy and privacy concerns.
  • Exceed customer expectations through efficient service.
  • Promptly and professionally acknowledge customers.
  • Exhibit warmth, empathy, and compassion in customer interactions.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
  • Understand and promote all PROfile offerings tailored to meet customer health needs, including but not limited to:

  • Health Inform
  • Kids Club
  • Flavorx

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the relevant province.
  • Injection Certification.
  • Previous experience in a retail or retail pharmacy setting is preferred.
