Role Overview:

The Relief Pharmacist will deliver pharmaceutical services and assistance to clients, healthcare professionals, and other retail pharmacies, working shifts as scheduled by the Relief Coordinator. This role is essential in ensuring excellence in patient-centered care, customer service, operational efficiency, and clinical services. You will actively contribute to fostering a positive and efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on clinical services, including disease management, medication assessments, and health risk evaluations.
  • Prioritize prescription safety by delegating technical tasks to Pharmacy Assistants when available.
  • Develop and implement care plans, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Mentor pharmacy students and Pharmacy Assistants as needed.
  • Gather pertinent patient, medication, and health information.
  • Identify and address actual and potential medication-related issues.
  • Monitor patient adherence to prescribed therapies.
  • Provide counseling to patients regarding new medications, ensuring their understanding of treatment.
  • Customize counseling to address individual patient needs, such as literacy or privacy concerns.
  • Exceed customer expectations through efficient service delivery.
  • Respond to customers promptly and professionally.
  • Exhibit warmth, empathy, and compassion in customer interactions.
  • Deliver exceptional service to every customer.
  • Understand and communicate all PROfile offerings to customers, ensuring they receive appropriate health programs.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Must hold a valid Pharmacist license in the relevant province.
  • Certification in injections.
  • Previous experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting is preferred.
