About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at SK Stucco. As a Tile Installer, you will be responsible for installing tile surfaces in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tile, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Mortar and Adhesive Application: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel, ensuring a smooth and even surface.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base, ensuring a secure and level installation.
  • Tile Alignment and Cutting: Align and straighten tiles, and cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Grouting and Finishing: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout, ensuring a clean and professional finish.
  • Tile Repair and Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, ensuring a seamless and durable installation.
  • Tile Strip Installation: Install tile strips, ensuring a secure and even installation.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to work with attention to detail and precision is essential for this role.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Good hand-eye coordination is required for this role, as you will be working with various tools and materials.
Requirements
  • Education: A certificate or diploma in a related trade is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is required.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
