About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at K5 FLOOR & TILE LTD. as a key member of our installation team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles, ensuring accurate measurements and layouts.
  • Mix, apply, and spread adhesives, such as mortar, cement, or mastic, using hand trowels to achieve a smooth and even finish.
  • Prepare detailed plans and sketches to visualize and communicate the installation process to colleagues and clients.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, ensuring a precise fit and minimizing waste.
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout to achieve a clean and professional finish.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, restoring the original appearance and functionality of the installation.
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets to support the tile installation and ensure stability.
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite tiles, requiring attention to detail and a high level of craftsmanship.
  • Estimate costs and materials for tile installations, ensuring accurate quotes and efficient project management.
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces, requiring a strong understanding of materials and techniques.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • The role requires a high level of physical fitness, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
