As an Assistant within our Regional Human Capital team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional support focused on people. In your capacity as a trusted advisor, you will assist in implementing and supporting strategies, programs, and processes aimed at attracting, developing, training, and retaining our organization's talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration of human capital initiatives, including total rewards, learning and development, recruitment, and performance management.
  • Organize interviews, conduct preliminary phone screenings, perform reference checks, and prepare job offers.
  • Contribute to the ongoing management of the recruitment database; post job openings, update listings, and oversee candidates through the applicant tracking system.
  • Leverage acquisition and social media platforms to cultivate a talent pool.
  • Manage onboarding logistics for new hires.
  • Maintain employee data records, including manual files, payroll, and HRIS updates.
  • Coordinate the facilitation of learning and development programs, handling on-site logistics, equipment, catering, registration, and course materials.
  • Prepare, review, and modify templates, letters, reports, presentations, and other correspondence.
  • Act as a liaison between leadership and team members by managing inquiries, employee relations, and educating on self-service options.
  • Support and implement organizational policies and guidelines as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of human resource correspondence, invoices, receipts, and office records.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and approaches to enhance work processes.
  • Maintain flexibility for travel as required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Completion of post-secondary education in human resource management.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in human resources is considered an asset.
