About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Toronto Family Dental. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures
  • Assist dentists with clinical tasks, such as preparing plaster models and moulds
  • Supervise and train other dental assistants in their health care functions
  • Order dental and office supplies, and maintain inventory
  • Perform administrative tasks, including reception and clerical duties
  • Prepare dental instruments and filling materials, and sterilize and maintain equipment
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide guidance on dental care
  • Assist with dental procedures, such as polishing teeth and applying fluoride and sealant
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a dental setting
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
