Job Summary

The Engineering Projects Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Plant Engineering Manager in establishing client needs and coordinating projects related to our facility. This position ensures project compliance, quality, and deadlines, and supports the conceptualization, design, planning, and implementation of safety, quality, and continuous improvement projects that increase safety, product quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate projects related to production and line developments, including new line, modification, or redesign.
  • Coordinate installation projects to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Ensure that work under their responsibility is carried out in a safe manner, in accordance with site policies and procedures.
  • Respect budgets and bidding processes.
  • Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess feasibility and equipment.
  • Accept ownership of all automation initiatives.
  • Carry out follow-ups of work for clients and various departments.
  • Manage contractor engineering activities and oversee management of delivery schedules, warranties, liquidated damages, and performance guarantees.
  • Coordinate start-up and commissioning of new equipment with operations.
  • Test newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
  • Maintain plant in a safe and productive state to ensure compliance with health and safety standards in order to achieve maximum productivity.
  • Provide engineering support to maintain, after, or curtail operations during emergencies.
  • Manage and do the necessary follow-ups for requests from our internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related Engineering field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of direct project engineering and/or plant maintenance experience.
  • Experience in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent judgment, strong sense of ethics & integrity, result-oriented.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications.
  • Efficient at handling multiple priorities and a proficient project manager.
  • Ability to adapt operational changes and need requirements; ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and consistently changing environment.
