About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cultural Liaison to join our team at Native Counselling Services of Alberta. As a Cultural Liaison, you will play a vital role in building relationships with indigenous communities, providing cultural competency training, and facilitating access to Elders for support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Appraise clients' needs and eligibility for specific services
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Liaise with inmates' families and contacts in the community
  • Advise and counsel inmates regarding their problems
  • Assess clients' relevant skill strengths and development needs
  • Implement behaviour management programs
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers involved with clients
Requirements
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience an asset
