Join Highline Beta as a Head of Venture Building

We're seeking a seasoned professional to lead our venture building initiatives with corporate partners. As Head of Venture Building, you'll play a strategic and execution-level role, working closely with our founders and corporate partners to design, build, and launch new ventures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead venture building initiatives with corporate partners, identifying opportunities to build new ventures that align with their business objectives
  • Coach client innovation and venture studio teams through the process of creating new ventures, providing training and support as needed
  • Design proposals and sales materials to help corporate innovators overcome challenges and achieve their goals
  • Support business development activities, attending conferences, speaking at events, and showcasing expertise in growth innovation and corporate venture building
  • Use Lean Startup methodologies and Design Thinking to break down opportunities into small, testable pieces, designing a rigorous testing system to validate new venture concepts
  • Create business plans and models for new ventures, products, and services, considering desirability, viability, and feasibility
  • Coach corporate teams on validating new venture concepts, providing tools and tips based on first-hand experience
  • Get into the trenches with corporate teams, supporting on product, design, or development strategy, and knowing who to ask for skills
Requirements:
  • Experience consulting corporate partners and others on how to design, build, launch, and run a venture studio
  • Experience applying Design Thinking and Lean Startup methodologies to products and services
  • Experience launching and building new businesses
  • Experience in a high-pressure startup environment
  • Technical or design skills are considered a plus
  • Value equity upside in a portfolio of venture-backed startups
  • Only want to work remotely (aiming for 2 days/week in the office)
  • Won't travel to see corporate executives and founders in person where possible
