Compensation: $100,000 - $170,000 annually

Role Overview:

The Technical Architect plays a pivotal role in crafting functional technology solutions, overseeing software development and implementation. Our architects are adept at designing intricate solutions tailored to client specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams on diverse projects. A successful candidate will navigate ambiguity effectively and translate complex requirements for varied audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the client's core technical requirements and analyze existing technical infrastructure and technologies.
  • Deliver technical designs and alternatives by collecting functional and non-functional requirements related to compliance, performance, security, and reliability, ensuring compatibility with the technical environment.
  • Detail the requirements and plans of the solution to meet the client's business needs.
  • Suggest strategies to mitigate potential constraints and risks associated with performance, reliability, usability, supportability, security, and deployment.
  • Create design blueprints outlining major product modules, their interactions, and critical components.
  • Develop architectural prototypes addressing significant challenges and major architectural risks.
  • Effectively communicate technical decisions to both stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Guide the development team throughout the development lifecycle by specifying architectural changes, mentoring tech leads and developers, providing code examples, establishing quality standards, and managing change.
  • Oversee the project's technical architecture throughout its lifecycle.
  • May be required to act as a senior developer, designing, writing, and testing customized code.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Technical Architect, ideally with 10+ years in the IT field.
  • Demonstrated career progression through Developer, Tech Lead, and Architect roles.
  • University Degree in Computer Science or a related Technical College/Institute Diploma is preferred.
  • Proficient in leading teams to build solutions using modern technologies and platforms, including languages such as ASP.NET, Angular, Vue, React, C#, Java, JavaScript, Typescript, Python, .NET, and Spring, as well as databases like Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, and Redis.
  • Experience in enterprise-level technical solutions involving multiple stakeholders, with a focus on designing, building, and evolving technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure technologies such as virtualization, storage, containerization, cloud, networking, and security fundamentals (AWS, MS Azure, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and understanding its relation to DevOps processes.
  • Knowledge of DevOps processes and experience with CI/CD tools that facilitate automation.
  • Some understanding of enterprise architecture principles and familiarity with EA frameworks such as TOGAF.
