Job Title: Vice President, TDAM Institutional Product

Job Summary:

The Vice President, TDAM Institutional Product is responsible for leading the development and implementation of TD's institutional product portfolio. This includes managing the product strategy, product development, and product management for the private asset institutional product shelf.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the product strategy for the institutional product portfolio
  • Manage the product development process, including product design, testing, and launch
  • Oversee the product management team, including providing guidance and support to junior team members
  • Act as a subject matter expert on product structures, including global fund structures
  • Manage regulatory filings and requirements for funds in jurisdictions in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific
  • Collaborate with internal partners, including Business Management and Solutions, Corporate Strategy, Product Design, Portfolio Management, Client Portfolio Managers, Sales, Legal, Sales Strategy and Communications, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Marketing

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of related industry experience, with at least 3 years of experience in an institutional product development function within the asset management industry
  • Experience with alternatives, including real assets
  • Experience reviewing offering circulars, including a deep understanding of fund features
  • Knowledge of Canadian institutional investment product-related vehicles, including a working knowledge of major investment strategies and styles employed by fixed income, equity, and alternative portfolio managers
  • Knowledge of global investment fund structures, such as limited partnerships, LLCs, offshore feeders, UCITs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with product development across various asset classes and vehicles
  • Demonstrated experience engaging in complex investment product launches with multiple stakeholders
  • A working knowledge of regulatory and compliance issues, fund accounting, and performance/portfolio reporting principles
