About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at J J Hardwood Floors Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality flooring installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise markings.
  • Material Installation: Measure, cut, and install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of installed flooring, identifying and addressing any defects or issues promptly.
  • Worksite Safety: Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols and regulations.
  • Communication: Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution and excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in floor covering installation.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
