Job Title: Floor Covering Installer

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at J J Hardwood Floors Ltd.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing various types of floor coverings, including hardwood, carpet, and resilient flooring. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to lift heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Install carpeting, hardwood, and resilient floor coverings
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Install materials on countertops and raised platforms
  • Install vinyl decking materials
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Organized and able to work independently
  • Physically demanding and able to lift heavy loads
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
