Manga Hotel Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to oversee all aspects of engineering operations at our hotel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of maintenance staff, ensuring the hotel's facilities are well-maintained and safe for guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the performance of the maintenance team, ensuring high standards are met.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program to ensure all guest rooms are serviced biannually.
  • Coordinate with service contractors for regular maintenance and emergencies, ensuring work completion and comparing quotations to secure the best value.
  • Manage inventory of materials and parts, ensuring adequate supply and preparing purchase orders at competitive prices.
  • Respond to emergency calls related to any issues in the hotel, even outside of regular working hours.
  • Adhere to and enforce all hotel policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a hotel or related industry.
  • Degree in engineering field preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with all levels of management in a professional manner.
  • Excellent technical background in plumbing, mechanical, and electrical.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
