Position: Structural Engineer - Bridges and Infrastructure

GBi is seeking a dedicated engineer with a keen interest in bridge and infrastructure design. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Head of Bridges and Structures within our Transport division.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute design tasks for bridge and structural initiatives;
  • Conduct analyses, evaluations, engineering studies, and develop technical specifications;
  • Ensure adherence to applicable design standards and codes, while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations;
  • Oversee project timelines and budgets in partnership with the department head;
  • Engage in project planning activities;
  • Participate in client consultations;
  • Collaborate with other professionals in the field.

Qualifications

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in civil engineering (a master's degree focusing on bridges is advantageous);
  • Be a registered member of the Quebec Order of Engineers;
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in bridge and structural design;
  • Experience in capacity assessment and design is beneficial;
  • Familiarity with the Canadian bridge design code CSA/S6;
  • ASP certification (general health and safety training for construction sites) is a plus.
