Construction Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Next Power Inc. as a key member of our project delivery team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare Accurate Estimates: Develop and prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.
- Pre-Qualification Submissions: Prepare and submit pre-qualification submissions to present to clients, highlighting our company's capabilities and expertise.
- Blueprint Analysis: Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate estimates.
- Estimate Preparation: Prepare master format estimates (Class A) and elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D) for construction projects.
- Cost Monitoring: Set up and monitor cost monitoring and reporting systems to ensure project expenditures are within budget.
- Project Cash Flow: Analyze project cash flow and financing requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
- Quantity Take-Off: Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accurate estimates and minimize project risks.
- Tender Analysis: Analyze tenders and recommend awards to ensure the best value for our clients.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in construction estimation or a related field.
- Security Clearance: Basic security clearance.
- Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, and provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
- Youth Employment: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Veterans: Participate in government or community programs that support Veterans, and provide mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Indigenous People: Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people, and provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Visible Minorities: Participate in government or community programs that support members of visible minorities, and apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
