About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at JTEKT Corporation's Technical Center in Halifax, NS. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and testing of electromechanical products for the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a responsive and cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers.
- Create test plans, procedures, and reports, and review and ensure test efficiency by validating in hardware.
- Design and simulate circuits and PCBs, and have strong knowledge of design for EMC, EMI, and manufacturing.
- Perform environmental, electrical, and EMC validation testing, and assist in root cause analysis for open customer support or other items as assigned.
- Propose corrective actions for resolutions to manufacturing and quality problems due to processes or equipment.
- Participate in production and project meetings, offering feedback and guidance, and assist in generating engineering and production documentation.
- Maintain and protect corporate IP, systems, tools, data, and customer proprietary information, and consistently follow and comply with defined processes and workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 5-7 years' experience in electrical engineering, with a strong background in design, development, and testing of electromechanical products.
- Excellent knowledge of PCB design, simulation, and testing, as well as experience with embedded software development and motor control theory.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
