About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Java/Web Services Developer to join our team at ARC Business Solutions Inc. as a key member of our software development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of web service features, from design to delivery, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Develop and review code with attention to detail, quality, and performance.
  • Design and plan technical solutions to enable efficient team collaboration.
  • Accurately scope effort, identify risks, and communicate trade-offs to stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve code, processes, and team efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve dependencies and unblock the team.

Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of backend software development using Java Spring Boot to expose and consume RESTful web services and async message queues/topics.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and practical application.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing web applications.
  • Working knowledge of AWS or equivalent development and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
