About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java/Web Services Developer to join our team at ARC Business Solutions Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality web services using Java Spring Boot, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve cross-team dependencies, ensuring seamless delivery of features.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance code, processes, and team efficiency.
  • Triage, fix, and validate bugs, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to the team.
  • Accurately scope effort, identify risks, and communicate trade-offs to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of backend software development using Java Spring Boot, with a strong understanding of RESTful web services and async message queues/topics.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and practical application experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • 5+ years of experience developing web applications, with a strong understanding of AWS or equivalent development and operations.
  • BSc Computer Science or equivalent degree.
