**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at Argus Properties Ltd. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process for multiple companies within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process vendor invoices and credits for multiple companies, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
  • Manage bi-monthly cheque and EFT runs, ensuring smooth and efficient payment processing.
  • Process online payments and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate with the AP team on month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to vendor payments, working closely with other departments and vendors as needed.
  • Participate in developing and improving existing procedures, ensuring continuous process improvement.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties and ad-hoc projects as required, supporting the overall goals and objectives of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Understanding of Canadian sales tax (GST/PST) and ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, such as accounting or finance, considered an asset.
  • Prior experience with Yardi Voyager/Elevate, a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with other departments and external parties.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment and work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter with good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
