About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Manager to join our team at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler. As a Restaurant Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Sidecut restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including waitstaff, server assistants, and hosts.
- Schedule shifts and manage staff rotations to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to employees to maintain high service and performance standards.
- Foster a positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and resolve any staff-related issues or conflicts.
- Maintain a strong focus on guest satisfaction, ensuring that guests have an exceptional dining experience.
- Interact with customers, handle complaints or concerns, and address any issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor service quality, table turnover, and overall guest satisfaction, taking appropriate actions to improve where necessary.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to achieve financial targets in collaboration with the marketing and culinary teams.
- Previous experience as a restaurant manager, preferably in a steakhouse or high-end dining establishment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage management, staffing, and financials.
- Proven track record in driving sales, achieving targets, and managing costs.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
