Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Shady Tree Neighbourhood Pub. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for our customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Washing and Sanitizing: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • Table Setting and Cleaning: Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables, and clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Garbage and Recycling: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that recycling is properly sorted and stored.
  • General Cleaning: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Food Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives and perform other equipment maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
