Role SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to take on the role of Audit Supervisor at our Brampton, ON location.
This position involves overseeing all phases of audit assignments from inception to conclusion. You will work closely with audit teams to guarantee effective and efficient audit performance.
Key Responsibilities- Examine financial statements to evaluate their precision, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations and formulate detailed audit strategies that address significant risk factors while adhering to auditing standards.
- Document audit findings and test outcomes, applying analytical judgment to prepare working papers that accurately reflect and summarize audit data, supporting conclusions and findings.
- Communicate audit outcomes and offer specialized business recommendations to management, including policy and procedural enhancements and best practices; escalate high-risk issues to Internal Audit Management when necessary.
- Collaborate with the audit team to establish a systematic approach for assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
A university degree in business or a related field is required.
Approximately 5-7 years of experience in an auditing or accounting/finance capacity is preferred.
Experience with both external and internal audits is advantageous. Background in the financial sector is considered a strong asset.
Experience in public accounting firms is also viewed favorably.
Expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, or auditing is beneficial.
