About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist to join our team at A-1 Powder Coating Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabrication and Repair: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Welding Techniques: Interpret welding process specifications, read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, and examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Operate arc welding machine, gas welding machine, and spot welding machine, and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
  • Materials and Techniques: Determine weldability of materials, operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC), and work with aluminum alloys, copper and copper alloys, steel, iron and heavy metals.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding conditions.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in welding and metalworking.
  • Language: English.
  • Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, sitting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, and team player.
