About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at United Tarps And Repair Ltd. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Manual or Semi-Automatic Welding Equipment: Safely operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints and Specifications: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate fabrication and repair.
  • Examine Welds and Ensure Quality: Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Operate Flame-Cutting and Metal Shaping Equipment: Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Maintain and Repair Equipment: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Accessibility Training: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Youth and Veteran Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth and Veterans.
  • Indigenous and Mature Worker Support: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers and mature workers.
  • Visible Minority Support: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
