Senior Tax Manager or Principal Opportunity

Baker Tilly Canada Cooperative is a leading CPA firm in Northern Ontario, with a strong presence in Sudbury, Timmins, and North Bay. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager or Principal to join our team.

About the Role

As a Senior Tax Manager or Principal, you will work closely with partners, managers, and other senior staff on business tax compliance, tax provision, and tax advisory engagements. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality tax planning, services, and advice to clients
  • Providing support, coaching, and professional development to firm staff on tax matters
  • Preparing and presenting technical sessions to firm staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 years of public accounting experience with a tax specialty
  • Canadian Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)
  • Successful completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course or Masters of Tax Program
  • Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, project management, and organizational skills
  • High proficiency in MS Office, Caseware/Casview, TaxPrep, and tax research software
  • Proven project management and time management skills to organize, implement, and execute projects
  • Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
