About the Role

Baker Tilly Canada Cooperative seeks a Senior Tax Manager or Principal to join our team, working out of any of our local offices in Sudbury, Timmins, or North Bay.

As a Senior Tax Manager or Principal, you will work closely with partners, managers, or other senior staff on business tax compliance, tax provision, and tax advisory engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality tax planning, services, and advice.
  • Providing support, coaching, and professional development to firm staff with respect to tax knowledge and tax matters on an ongoing basis.
  • Identifying and cultivating new sales/service opportunities for clients.
  • Preparing and presenting technical sessions to firm staff.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of public accounting experience with a tax specialty.
  • Canadian Professional Accounting Designation (CPA).
  • Successful completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course or Masters of Tax Program.
  • Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, project management, and organizational skills.
