Senior Culinary Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Culinary Specialist to join our team at Verve Senior Living. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals and snacks for residents and guests, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavor.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Assist with menu planning, inventory management, and ordering supplies.
- Supervise and train junior staff members in food preparation and service techniques.
- Collaborate with the Dining Services Manager to ensure seamless meal service and high-quality customer satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in large-volume food cooking, preparation, and plating techniques.
- Graduate of a recognized college food preparation program or equivalent experience.
- Valid regional food handler's certificate and certification in food safety and handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, and stand for long periods.
