Executive Director, Transportation Operations

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Transportation Operations team at All Directions Transport. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our transportation business, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods and people.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Lead and manage a team of 11-15 people, providing guidance and direction to ensure the successful execution of transportation operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Financial Management
- Manage a budget of $1,500,001 - $4,000,000, ensuring effective financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Develop and implement financial controls to ensure the accurate tracking of expenses and revenue.
- Operational Excellence
- Oversee the implementation of transportation policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Technology and Innovation
- Stay up-to-date with the latest transportation technologies and innovations, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement and maintain technology systems, including Tally ERP, MS Office, and Quick Books.
- Security and Safety
- Ensure the safe and secure movement of goods and people, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement safety protocols, including regular training and drills.
- Transportation and Travel
- Manage the transportation fleet, ensuring vehicles are properly maintained and equipped.
- Develop and implement travel policies, including vehicle supply and driver training.
- Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Be able to work under pressure, with attention to detail and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
