Carpentry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Sandmere Construction. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Layout and Measurement: Prepare accurate layouts in conformance to building codes, utilizing measuring tools to ensure precise measurements.
- Material Preparation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to meet project requirements.
- Installation and Fitting: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless finish.
- Site Surveying: Conduct site surveys to determine building locations and levels, ensuring accurate placement of materials and structures.
- Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a typical workweek consisting of 35 to 40 hours.
- Language and Communication: Communicate effectively in English, with the ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
