Key Responsibilities- Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standard.
- Prepare and Install Materials: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Maintain and Repair Structures: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
- Ensure Safety and Security: Conduct criminal record checks and ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and secure manner.
- Transportation and Travel: Own transportation is required for this role, and you will be responsible for ensuring that you are able to travel to various locations as required.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and is physically demanding. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Experience and Qualifications: We are looking for a candidate with 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a permanent employment contract and the ability to work 32 hours per week. Fluency in English is required.
