SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Venue Kings, a premier ticket brokerage in Canada, is experiencing continuous growth and seeks a dedicated Senior Accountant to oversee our Finance department. This pivotal role reports directly to the CEO and encompasses the comprehensive accounting and financial operations for Venue Kings and its associated entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all facets of the financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate month-end closures and preparing essential reporting packages for external stakeholders.
  • Establish and uphold robust internal control systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and focus on enhancing systems.
  • Conduct independent financial and operational analyses as needed.
  • Present monthly financial outcomes to the CEO.
  • Coordinate with external accounting firms to ensure timely statutory filings.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in operational accounting, with familiarity in paperless online and virtual accounting systems being advantageous.
  • At least three (3) years of experience with Quickbooks Online.
  • In-depth knowledge of revenue accounting and proficiency in financial, management, and operational reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, emphasizing quality and accuracy.
  • A collaborative team player willing to contribute wherever necessary.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift rapidly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • A growth-oriented mindset suited for high-growth entrepreneurial settings.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills across all levels, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
