The Role

GeoComply is looking for a Senior Manager of Corporate Finance to join our dynamic Accounting team, reporting directly to the Senior Accounting Manager. This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a rapidly growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the month-end closing process for designated corporate entities, coordinating staff efforts to deliver timely financial statements, analyses, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare internal management reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Assist in the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for senior leadership review.
  • Evaluate working papers and authorize journal entries submitted by junior staff during month-end closing.
  • Examine third-party vendor agreements to identify potential accounting discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Finance to analyze cost center expenditures and their effects on financial outcomes.
  • Compile documentation for external audits, addressing auditor inquiries and requests.
  • Oversee the chart of accounts and general ledgers, ensuring accuracy and robust controls over accounting transactions.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and reporting efficiency.
  • Implement best practices to improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with finance and accounting team members to ensure a streamlined operation.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior staff as necessary.
  • Support ad-hoc requests and lead new initiatives as required.

Who You Are

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Hold a CPA designation or equivalent qualification in good standing.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a comparable position.
