We are in search of a proficient Manufacturing Finance Specialist to collaborate with the site controller and operational teams to develop financial forecasts, assess performance discrepancies, and deliver analytical support for decision-making.


Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the development of processes aimed at project evaluation and accurately determining the cost structure of the manufacturing site.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support essential decision-making and enhance cost efficiency.
  • Engage in strategic evaluations with operational teams to maximize profitability, optimize resource utilization, and ensure competitive production costs.
  • Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and variance analysis for the manufacturing site, focusing on production planning, fixed cash costs, and utility expenses.
  • Deliver monthly manufacturing cost and key performance indicator (KPI) analyses, including quarterly validation of cost curves and cash cost assessments for joint ventures.
  • Facilitate the planning and forecasting processes, offering insightful variance analyses and actionable recommendations for enhancements.
  • Monitor and provide financial guidance regarding landlord agreements associated with the manufacturing site.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit Finance on strategic initiatives and analyses.
  • Evaluate assumptions and validate the benefits linked to capital investment projects.
  • Support the Controller with special projects and new initiatives as required.
  • Report on regional monthly fixed cash costs, overtime, utilities, and production metrics.
  • Assist the product costing and accounting teams in generating precise monthly accruals and ensure accurate accounting for general and administrative cost centers.
  • Contribute to the Polycarbonate benchmarking team by supplying relevant cost and usage data, standardizing materials and usage information for monthly reviews, and collaborating with data teams for continuous improvement.
  • Mentor interns and temporary staff within the department as necessary, and work with leadership as a champion for cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. Candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and cost management.
  • Preferred experience with SAP systems.
  • A strong interest and background in manufacturing finance, alongside financial planning and analysis.
  • A general understanding of Sabic products and manufacturing methodologies.
  • A proven history of successful project management and process enhancement.
