Job Title: Instrumentation Technician

McCain Foods is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our team in Coaldale, Alberta. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of Instrumentation and Control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Instrumentation and Control systems, including calibration and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of new equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with the site programmer to configure and install control networks and process systems.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with relevant codes and safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with production and maintenance supervision to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
  • Instrumentation Technician Certificate and Industrial Electrician license.
  • Background in electronics/PLC's and/or willingness to obtain further Electrical training and certification.
  • Self-motivated individual with good organizing and coordinating skills.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in electrical equipment construction or repair.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions:

This is a rotating day shift position, including scheduled weekends, with the possibility of on-call duties. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of safety awareness.
