IT Security Specialist

Family and Children's Services Niagara is seeking a highly skilled IT Security Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Services Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our IT systems and data.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a cybersecurity governance program, security plan, policies, and risk management framework.
- Monitor networks and systems, detect security threats, and provide specialist technology solutions and expertise in the cybersecurity field.
- Conduct, assess, and action vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and threat risk assessments.
- Provide maintenance, support, and troubleshooting for Microsoft 365, servers, Azure Cloud, VMWare, switches, firewalls, computers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Manage all Windows Servers and ensure their availability, integrity, and security.
- Monitor all PCs, Servers, and Mobile Devices to ensure security and compliance with agency policies and standards.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, system, and reviewing system and application logs.
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related studies.
- Additional 3 years of IT Security and networking-related experience required.
- Experience with Microsoft security solutions, computer network penetration testing, and techniques.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network, web application, and software development vulnerabilities.
- Working knowledge of IT Compliance, Standards, and Frameworks.
- Experience with incident response, forensic analysis, and log file analysis.
- Knowledge of Windows server OS, Linux/UNIX Operating Systems, and command-line tools.
- Valid G Drivers License and access to a reliable motor vehicle with appropriate liability insurance required.
The work is primarily performed at a desk in a normal office environment. Long periods of sitting and computer/phone use are expected. Occasional travel to FACS sites or within the region may be required. Occasional requirement to work evenings and/or weekend hours in case of Tech emergencies or after-hours implementations.
