Job Overview

Join our team at Alberta Ave MedX Drugs Inc as a dedicated Pharmaceutical Technician. This is a permanent position offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

Work Environment

As a member of our team, you will be working in various settings, including:

  • Custom ocular prosthetics laboratories
  • Chronic or long-term care facilities
Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a variety of tasks, including:

  • Repairing, constructing, and modifying prosthetic or orthotic devices
  • Designing and fabricating ocular implants
  • Planning dietary menus under the guidance of a nutritionist
  • Supervising food preparation and service personnel
  • Painting artificial eyes with precision
  • Measuring patients for prosthetic fittings
  • Providing advice on the use and maintenance of prosthetic devices
  • Billing third-party insurers
  • Maintaining medication inventories and prescription records
  • Assisting in research related to food and nutrition
  • Cleaning and restoring ocular prostheses
  • Consulting with ophthalmologists regarding prosthetic insertion
  • Creating working sketches based on patient measurements
Supervision

You will be responsible for overseeing a small team of 3-4 individuals.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A college diploma or equivalent experience in a related field
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
