Pharmaceutical Technician

- Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, repair, and adjust prosthetic or orthotic devices and footwear
- Oversee and guide the work of fellow medical technologists or technicians
- Construct prosthetic and orthotic devices based on technical drawings, measurements, and plaster molds
- Design meal plans and dietary regimens for individuals or groups under the guidance of a dietitian or nutritionist
- Assist in managing staff involved in food preparation and service
- Process billing for third-party insurance providers
- Prepare oral solutions, ointments, and creams
- Support patients in completing dietary selections
- Maintain accurate medication inventories and prescription records
- Collaborate with dietitians on research related to nutrition and food service
- Clean and restore ocular prosthetics
- Interpret specifications provided by physicians
- Advise patients regarding depth perception issues
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee a team of 3-4 individuals
- Security and Safety Requirements: Must pass a criminal background check
