Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our esteemed firm, Gauvreau & Associates. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and have a passion for delivering high-quality accounting services.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including:

  • Engaging with clients on a daily basis to gather necessary information and address inquiries.
  • Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling financial transactions.
  • Generating accurate accounting reports and financial statements, and effectively communicating the results.
  • Maintaining financial records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Preparing corporate and personal tax returns while providing insights on tax planning strategies.
  • Analyzing intricate financial reports and records.
  • Assisting with financial and tax audits to ensure compliance.
  • Safeguarding the organization's value by maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Communicating with governmental agencies as necessary.
  • Collecting and analyzing financial data to recommend efficient resource utilization and procedural improvements.
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations while maintaining the integrity of financial data.
  • Undertaking additional projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
  • Progress towards a CPA designation is considered an asset.
Educational Background:

A Bachelor's Degree is required for this position.
