Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Forklift Field Service Technician. This role involves working the first shift, Monday through Friday, on an hourly basis. Our Field Technicians are provided with a company service vehicle that they can take home, along with a fuel card. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting preventative maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment
  • Diagnosing and repairing various types of customer equipment
  • Completing repair tasks efficiently and professionally
  • Delivering outstanding customer service
  • Managing workloads independently
  • Accurate completion and submission of necessary documentation
  • Maintaining the company vehicle and on-board parts inventory
  • Integrating our core principles into daily tasks
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
  • Ensuring consistent and reliable attendance

Professional Development:

We encourage our Technicians to engage in our in-house paid training programs, enabling them to enhance their diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and advance their careers.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of forklift repair experience is preferred
  • Field experience is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of electric and liquid propane systems
  • Excellent mechanical skills
  • Must possess personal tools
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license required
  • Familiarity with Hyster TKC training software and Yale/Hyster management systems
  • Intermediate language skills for reading and interpreting documents
  • Basic mathematical skills for simple calculations
  • Intermediate reasoning skills for problem-solving

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands; frequent communication is necessary
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds on occasion
  • Work environment may include exposure to moving parts, fumes, and varying weather conditions
